Allegories

What are allegories? I had no idea before the class started, I honestly had never heard that word before. But now it seems so simple to explain, allegories are just hidden messages the author of the piece of arts wants to represent, but without being explicit. Sometimes they might be hard to find, but still, when you do, you are amazed by how much meaning they give and change to art. I find it really amazing to see how little details can give the whole meaning to the piece of art. It can be exciting to find allegories, for me it is. What I find interesting is how allegories are so meaningful to art, they are elements that have a different meaning, allegories are amazing.
